TEAM @GETAQUI
OUR PHILOSOPHY
EDUCATION AND TRAINING
There are many choices to consider when selecting an agency and operator; however, we encourage you to evaluate your options and ask questions prior to beginning your first class. Our approach is community based vs competitive as the level of training is truly top-notch compared to the standard available courses being taught in the industry.

Since the age of three I have been fascinated with water. As a fearless child the thought of floating and swimming in the ocean became a part of my life. By the time I was 15, I traveled to the Virgin Islands and discovered my true love for freediving the ocean. Despite the magnificent blue water and rainbow painted reefs, I needed more! I needed more time underwater and took my first SCUBA lesson the following year.
Fast forward to 2004 where I enlisted in the US NAVY as a photographer and videographer. Learning to shoot professionally on land, my imagination of capturing life underwater only grew stronger. My career at the time presented opportunities to photograph around the world in remote destinations where famous photographs came before. Being certified, I could finally capture the moments I dreamed of as a kid.
In 2010, the decision to become a professional was made. My passion was becoming a profession, and developing future explorers occupied my mind. The goal: Teach divers to find their passion in recreational depths, and continue developing skills and confidence in others to push past their personal limits and technical boundaries. In 2014, I moved to Florida after resigning from the Federal Government, my first dive business was established in Pembroke Pines, Florida and grew to become what is now known as AQUI Water Sports. Starting from a DIR (doing it right) Instructor ethos, there was no substitute to keeping true to my responsibility of care for students. To NEVER compromise on the quality of education. As an Independent instructor, trial and error in building a solid training foundation was paramount.
I am certified to teach Recreational, Technical, and Sidemount specialties through Scuba Diving International (SDI), Technical Diving International (TDI), Scuba School International (SSI), and Rebreather Association of International Divers (RAID). Having certified and worked with thousands of divers around the world, the passion and excitement still continue to grow daily. What I never expected was meeting and having the opportunity to change so many lives.
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management and Finance, and currently serve as the Vice President for the Palmetto Ocean Conservancy (http://palmettooceanconservancy.org) non-profit organization. When on dry land, I spend time at my second home in Nicaragua catching waves, and traveling to remote destinations.
